A day off today with four things planned:

1. Drink coffee while reading with the cat napping on my lap ✅
2. Buy a new 65” tv
3. Long lunch and cocktails with a friend
4. Walk home to balance out number 3

My younger brother and I are very different people. He is deep in the make a phone call when a text would do camp, I’m the opposite. Also incapable of ending a call. Like it did tonight, this combination usually has me saying “I’m going to hang up now, is there anything else” after about 45mins.

Sometimes I surprise myself with the things stored away in the back of my brain. A friend has loaded a stack of songs into his karaoke machine and now we’re delving into them post dinner. I don’t think I’ve heard it in 40yrs but a friend and I just managed to sing The Belle of St Mark by Sheila E.

Cat caught a gecko and ran inside with it but it escaped and got under the rug. I caught it and released it back outside. Ali thinks it’s still there and has spent the last 45mins alternating between pawing at the edge of the rug to pull it up, doing circles around it, or just sitting watching. 😻

Made the mistake of looking at one EV car ad on instagram and now I’ve seen every EOFY deal for every EV available in Australia.

I have a four hour solution verification workshop with a vendor this morning. My views on the rushed implementation and the Monday morning scheduling are clear but no harm in reinforcing.
