🍹 Work mode = off Holiday mode = on

In 23 minutes I’m done with work for three weeks and considering possible out of office messages. Modified versions of the first three are all appealing.

Some just a little bit more than others and it’s what makes them fun to be around. Unless it’s the creepy weird from the orange grifters acolytes and supporters. Nothing fun about them.

📺 A thoughtful piece by Dan Barrett in his newsletter on how the garbage fire in the US presents an opportunity to improve the value of local Australian TV.

Apart from a blind spot in regard to Doctor Who, Dan’s newsletter is a great read and pointer to tv worth watching. You should subscribe.

📺 Really enjoying this new season of The Wheel of Time.

I’ve been a Doctor Who fan for as long as I can remember having started watching it in the 70s. This piece by Ben Werdmuller encapsulates the show perfectly. A longer piece but well worth the read if you’re a fan.

Because Doctor Who doesn’t promise us a perfect future — it promises us people who will fight for one. It shows us a universe where the best tool you can carry is your mind, your heart, and your ability to listen. Where change is baked into the story, and where survival requires transformation.

Nailed it.

What’s life without a bit of drama.

The question you have to ask yourself is did video kill the radio star. 🎶

🍽️ A lovely 22°c night to sit out on the balcony and have dinner. The cat is sitting staring intently at the spot she saw a gecko two days ago.

Sending subtle messages in meetings.
