🙎‍♂️ Waiting for my “I’m awake naturally by 6am” niece to get up so we can go get coffee. It’s 8:30am.

Flying is one of my favourite things.

A Virgin Australia plane taxiing off the runway at Sydney airport. A grass verge and signage indicating directions visible in the foreground.

Old mate in my seat feigning ignorance he was in the wrong seat. It’s business class, there’s only an aisle or a window and if you’re flying business you know how to read a seat number 🙄

🛩️ Time to fly (Part 2)

The cabin manager on my first flight had me clocked “you look like you’d appreciate a top up of your wine”.

🍷 Transiting through Sydney on the way home for the status points earn from two flights. Time for a wine in the Virgin lounge.

As someone who travels frequently I’m always bemused at how people either travel light or heavy with cabin items. There’s no in between.

🛫 Time to fly (Part 1)

One of the best ways to tell if your plane is likely going to leave on time is to check if the inbound flight arrived on time, giving the ground and cabin crew enough time to prepare it for your flight.

🚊 Walking to get a tram, to catch a bus, to board a plane, to take a train, to sit on a bus, to walk home.
