📷 Started going through my photo albums a week ago to get rid of screenshots, duplicates etc. I’ve accumulated a lot of unwanted stuff over the years.

I’ve just finished the cull and there’s now 10,728 photos in the recently deleted album. Now to go through the 836 photos I dropped into “misc”.

🍿 Predestination (2014). ★½

The review reads: A time travel and paradox plot line which becomes more convoluted as each reveal happens with each switch between the past and the present. Having randomly come across it I had no expectations, which was a good thing. Maybe I was too tired to properly enjoy it but it was all a bit overdone and the final moments seemed inevitable but contrived.

📺 Finished watching The Ark (Season 2, 2024) ★★½

For me, this second season was better than the first. The characters felt more defined, there wasn’t the same type of forced crisis, there was a clearer plot line. The removal of one character to be replaced by another, played by the same actor, was probably the weakest part of the season arc. An easy watch but not something you’d feel like you need to binge.

You don’t really think about how much you move your dominant arm around until you have a sun spot (bcc) cut out right on the ball of the shoulder and the doctor says “try to limit movement for the first 48hrs”.

🍿 Coming to America (1988). ★★★

It would likely never be made now but as a product of its time it’s great. Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall comedically bouncing off each other while John Amos and James Earl Jones both deliver serious roles but half expecting them to break into comedy at any moment as well.

🍿 Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023). ★★

Across the bottom is a rating of Poor Okay Good Great with Okay selected. The review reads: Finally got around to watching this and I could have probably gotten by a bit longer. Guy Ritchie must have spent about thirty minutes pulling together discarded ideas and scenes from some of his other movies and then found a weak plot to try and thread it all together. Some big names in this but that didn't help it. It's ordinary but watchable as a standard by the numbers Ritchie affair.

Wearing another new badge to work today. Pretending I’m wild and free while I sit at my desk and go to interminable meetings.
